Privacy

The form on the contact and consulting pages sends inquiries to the service described under Inquiries below. You can also email me directly or use the LinkedIn link on the contact page. Do not send confidential records.

Page requests

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. Visiting it sends the hosting service the information needed to answer a web request, including an internet address and browser request headers. GitHub’s privacy statement describes its handling of service and website usage data.

The site code includes no analytics, advertising tags or tracking pixels. It sets no browser cookies of its own. The hosting and sign-in services handle their own access records.

Video

Reviewed demonstration videos use invented records. When available, the player retrieves video from media.ngagemartin.com after you start playback. That request reaches infrastructure I control and includes the internet address and request headers needed to deliver the file. Captions and transcripts are provided with the page. No third-party video player is embedded.

The demonstration on the home page

The home page lets you build a short brief from invented records. If you save it, the brief is kept in your own browser under a single entry, and nothing about it is sent to me or to anyone else. When the page loads it makes one throwaway write to check whether your browser allows storage at all. Clearing the brief on the page removes it, and so does clearing your browser’s site data.

Inquiries

The inquiry form sends your name, email address, company if you give one, your message, the four optional answers about how many systems the work touches, how often it happens, who does it day to day and who would need to say yes, and how you found the site to an inquiry service at inquiries.ngagemartin.com, which runs on infrastructure I control. The service records the inquiry in the customer relationship system I use for consulting work, which also runs on my own infrastructure, and shows you a reference such as GM-20260909-ab12. It also notes the time received, keeps your connection’s internet address in memory for up to a day to limit abuse, and logs only the time, the reference and whether delivery succeeded. Nothing else is collected, and the form has no third-party components.

If the handoff to that system cannot be confirmed, the service keeps a saved copy of your inquiry and retries automatically. The page tells you this and shows the same reference, so you do not need to send it again. A saved copy that still cannot be delivered after 14 days is deleted, and a saved copy is removed as soon as its inquiry is delivered.

To limit abuse, the service counts submissions from each connection and refuses further ones for an hour after several attempts. It sets no cookies.

I read every inquiry myself and reply from the address on the contact page. Delivered inquiries stay in that system while I handle the conversation and are deleted when you ask. To ask what I hold about you or to have an inquiry deleted, write to that same address and include the reference if you have it.
